Installation

Q: I get an error message during installation, what should I do?

A: First, be sure to read through the system requirements for the version of P6 that you want to install, and verify your computer meets those requirements. One of the most common reasons for installation failure is inadequate memory. Second, verify that you have installed all the components of P6. In addition to the program, there is a database that must be installed. Third, if your computer meets the system requirements and you have installed (or attempted to install) all the components, you may have a system conflict that requires Oracle support to correct. If you are installing software that you purchased, Oracle support is provided for one year, and your best bet is to call the Support help line.

Q: After I installed the program and tried to open it, I was asked for a password. What is the default password?

A: Until you change it, the default login and password is: admin. Once you have logged in for the first time, you can change the user name and password by going to Admin in the top drop-down menu and clicking on Users.  When you initially attempt to log in, if the program has not installed properly, it will not accept the password.
